When I first started selling my art on eBay in 2004, I purchased all of my supplies through local outlets.
One of the shops we patronized was our local Dick Blick Art Supply. But, it wasn't always possible to get the canvas sizes we most preferred and even waiting for shipments didn't guarantee that we could get what we wanted.
This video was emailed to me by one of my internet friends. Because of the format, it quit playing about halfway through...so I went out to You Tube to see if I could find it...sure enough, there are several versions of the same video there. I selected this one as it had a link to a very cool site I thought worth sharing. Please pop over there, if you have a minute. It's called Playing For Change - Peace Through Music....very Cool!
I know that most everyone who follows me...both in CMZ art and Rustic Goth... are familiar with this particular piece.
Well...it's one of the few pieces I have also listed over in my Imagekind Shop.
Imagekind is much like Art.com. The artists upload an image that is large enough to accommodate prints of various sizes and on various mediums... for instance... it is possible to get this print on 8 x 10 Fine Art Paper... get it matted and framed in a 16 x 18.5" frame... get it on 8x10 canvas...or 8x10 canvas framed... it's even available as a Greeting Card.
At this point...this is the only print that I have submitted for Art For Cancer but...I want to do some totally Brand New never before seen pieces exclusive to Imagekind...in the next week or so...
then...I want to include ALL of my prints as part of the Art for Cancer group with 50% of all sales going to a couple different cancer charities. Right now...my charity is 'Cancer Funds of America' to help cancer patients purchase necessities not usually covered by insurance, medicaid and other charities.
If you are in the 'market for some new art' I recommend you visit Imagekind and see all of the wonderful art pieces available through the Art for Cancer group!
On June 18th.. my day is mostly about memories. It is the day my dear husband lost his fight with cancer. June 18, 2006....it's been three years now, but it doesn't seem all that long ago.
I put together a video on the first year anniversary of his passing... and I've blogged about it every year since. So...once again.....
I went out and looked at my very first blog post.. it was back when the family artists were all together in one group... we had agreed to be the Nebraska media reps' for Paul Newman's 'Hole in the Wall Gang'... as reps' we needed to put up a blog... I think it was supposed to be a national effort... don't know that it every came together as such though.
Anyway...it was then that I had my first 'taste' of blogging...and the date of my first post was June 19, 2005.
I thought I would post a link here...in case anyone is interested.
....at least, that is what it feels like. I started selling my art online in 2004. Back "in the day"... I sold on eBay... but, I thought it necessary to join several other sites and groups....not really sure why...but, I'm still with most of those groups and sites.
There's Art Wanted ... ..the first image uploaded there was September 7, 2004. I really need to pay that site more attention...I have enjoyed being there.
Art by Us I signed up there in January 2005. I sold quite a few paintings when I first started listing there...unfortunately the site just never took hold...and now most of the sales there seem a bit 'suspect' to me. (That's just my opinion, of course...)
I'm over at Art.Com been there since 2005. Basically...there, I just submit my images... they make the sales and send me a commission once or twice a year. Nothing I can live on...but, hey...I'm not doing the work either.
There's my EBSQ Portfolio I've combined my CMZart and Rustic Goth pieces there since it costs me money every month... been there since 2004... almost all of the art I've listed online is in my portfolio there. (I didn't quite understand how to use it at first... and deleted quite a few of my early pieces.) And..lately, I don't always 'remember' to upload my pieces like I used to...I need to get better at that.
Anyway....when I 'google' myself...I find it rather fun to see all the places I have 'stuff' going on.
The image on this post is linked to 'ThisNext' ... (if I did it right) I don't even know how I ended up there??
As well as paying more attention to my new Zibbet Shop... I'm also paying more attention to my other CMZ Art shops as well....this post is about my CMZ Art Zazzle Shop. I've got a 'bunch' of merchandise listed in my Zazzle Shop...this little 'Terrier' mousepad is just one example. I've done my designs on some Keds Shoes... and much...much more!
Drop by and see what new things I've put in the Shop.
