A very busy week-end!

What a busy week-end I've had.

I did a bunch of the Glass Tile Pendants

for Pendants Plus..and, I've got to

retake quite a few pictures

that just didn't come out.

I'm not the best photographer in the world...

I managed to get 5 new paintings finished...

1 for Rustic Goth

the other 4 for CMZ Art.

It's been, at least a year, since I last painted

a Tuscan landscape...I now have a new

one to list later today or tomorrow.

It's done in much the same way as the one

I've shown here...

I still have to take the photographs

for the listing.

Nintendo Wii

I hope everyone had as good a Thanksgiving Day

as my family did.

We had a wonderful 'feast'...everyone was

responsible to bring certain items

so it didn't all fall on one person...(me).

I didn't even do the Turkey this year

yay!!

We have always...always played family games

on Holidays...but, as the grandbabies get

older, they don't really like being

relegated to 'kid games'...and it usually creates

something of a fuss.

So, this year, my oldest daughter

decided to bring over her

Nintendo Wii...

I am 'hooked on golf'... and it's okay

that I couldn't figure out the controller

and came in last every time...

I don't play with these games...so I didn't expect

to do well.

But...I really did enjoy it!

And...oh my gosh....

I see that they have

'Mini-Golf' for Wii...

oh...I am going to have

to get that game for

our Christmas get togethers!

Beware e-card Greetings...Virus Alert!

I'm not usually an 'alarmist'

but after seeing what happened when my

daughter's computer "went down"

and all of the information she lost because she

didn't save it on a disc...

I thought I'd pass along some information

I received in an email today.

"You should be alert during the next few days.

Do not open any message with an attachment entitled 'POSTCARD FROM HALLMARK,' regardless of who sent it to you. It is a virus which opens A POSTCARD IMAGE, which 'burns' the whole hard disc C of your computer.

This virus will be received from someone who has your e-mail address in his/her contact list. This is the reason why you need to send this e-mail to all your contacts. It is better to receive this message 25 times than to receive the virus and open it.

If you receive a mail called 'POSTCARD,' even though sent to you by a friend, do NOT open it! Shut down your computer immediately.

It has been classified by Microsoft as the most destructive virus ever. This virus was discovered by McAfee yesterday, and there is no repair yet for this kind of virus. This virus simply destroys the Zero Sector of the Hard Disc, where the vital information is kept."

There you have it...beware e-card greetings this year...even from family and friends.

Better to be safe...than sorry!

Some new paintings

I was able to finish three

new paintings this week-end.

I will start listing in my shop

beginning on Sunday...

and on Monday.

Now on Imagekind

I now have a CMZ Art shop on Imagekind.

It wasn't that I was looking

to see how much more work I was

wanting to take on...

it was more about what they

offer there.

You can get my art on various

fine art papers

or

on a gallery wrapped canvas.

It was the canvas that did it for me.

I can't offer a gallery wrapped canvas of

giclees of my art through my Etsy Shop,

so I went out to find someplace that could.

I don't have many pieces listed yet,

but I am working on it.

A word about shipping.

Since we are getting closer to "that time of the year", when packages seem to take FOREVER to get from point A to point B, I thought I'd write a quick note about shipping.
I have used FedEx, UPS and USPS all, as my primary carriers, in the five years I have been selling my art online.
My preference...

UPS for large packages. You can print a UPS shipping label through PayPal and then just drop the package at a drop site. It tracks the package from check in through to delivery...very good, especially at this time of year.

For smaller packages, I use USPS. Again, you can pay and print through PayPal and just;
1. drop off at any Post Office
2. schedule a Pick Up...you have to have a Priority, Express, International or Return package to schedule a free Pick Up...but then, you can include all kinds of ground packages - up to 70 pounds...by including just one upgraded package.
3. For the smallest of ground packages, I can just put them in the mailbox and raise the red flag.
Pay and print shipping includes Delivery Confirmation, so...while you can't actually 'track' the package, you can see when it is finally delivered.

The only 'drawback' to pay and print shipping, through PayPal or the USPS...

you can't print First Class International Labels, those need to be taken

directly to the Post Office, paid for and sent out from there.

Soooo...I only send International packages once a week...usually on Wednesdays.

With my schedule, I just can't handle long lines at the post office any more often than that.

How many backlinks do you have?

This really isn't me 'crying'...it's me...exhausted!

I've been doing soooo much 'online studying' the past couple

of days, my eyes are beginning to droop...and yes, there is

a tear or two that escapes from time to time.

When I was much, much younger...I really wanted to write...

so I wrote and wrote...every spare moment I got.

I won't go into why I went into art instead...

Anyway...I have digressed....in my online studying (about writing)

I've run

across a lot of information that was new..to me..

the information I learned today was...

how to check for 'backlinks' on my different sites.

In short...

go to Yahoo search...

type

linkdomain:www.yoursite.com

and you get

all of the sites that are linked to your site.

I found it very interesting...

it gave me several sites that I had no idea

had included links to this blog

on their sites.

A Few Of My Favorite Things...

Keep Calm and Carry On - Green

I just listed a new 'Keep Calm and Carry On'

poster print

in the Pendants Plus Shop.

That brings the total of these posters to

nine different colors.

I want to do three more colors

for a nice variety of color selections.

I've got a couple new prints

listed in my

CMZ Art Etsy Shop..

I need to bring back the 'list'.

Years ago I had a list for 'everything'...

well..almost everything.

And, my lists kept me punctual,

organized and 'on top' of everything!

I had all of the condiments and spices

I needed, on hand, all of the time.

I never ran of out kleenex, charmin,

toothpaste or deodorant.

And...my chores..

they were always done timely and efficiently!

Really...my house was clean...

my workspace, organized...

my time...well I actually had more of it

to enjoy!

Then...someone made jest of all of the notes

and lists I had all over the place...

and I quit!

I haven't had a clean house or an organized workspace

since.

I think the time has come...

to bring back the lists.

I just hope my house isn't too cluttered....

I'm afraid they might get 'lost'.

What to do..what to do?

I have so much I need to do in the next few weeks.

I decided to do a new version of

'Rosa Sat'

This one is a print that I put into the

Pendants Plus Etsy Shop.

I'm selling so many of this buttons from my

CMZ Art Zazzle Shop

that I decided to offer prints in Pendants Plus.

We'll see how that goes.

visitors and selling the most merchandise.

So...I need to spend a few days and get as many items

put together as possible, so that it is still in time

ready to put into my CMZ Art Etsy Shop.

I plan to post all of the new items,

from all of the CMZ Art 'outlets',

in my CMZ Art Squidoo lens, as well as here in this blog.

We have a new president!

I've had these buttons in my Zazzle Shop for over a month now...

some with different designs...

all with the same message.

I've sold quite a few of them, since I

listed them...I sold a couple yesterday...

election day!

I'm happy with the result!

A New Painting...Finally!

I finally got a new painting finished

over this darned 'artists block'!

It's Been One Year

I've had my CMZ Art Etsy Shop

opened for one year now!

My anniversary date was November 2nd.

In 'celebration'

of the one year anniversary

I am having a sale!

Everything is marked down

with one exception...

the mirrors.

I had a sale a while back

and marked them down 25%

and just never marked them back to

the original price...so they're the only items

that don't have a sale tag on them!

I've decided to leave those at the 'sale price'

until they're gone.

It's November....Already!!!

It's hard to believe that it is already

November...

I think I say that every month. But, I really can't

believe how fast time flies.

We set our clocks back tonight...hopefully that will help

me get to bed at an earlier hour...maybe...

I haven't spent much time creating new pieces for the

shop

because, well...truth be told...I've been having a little

'artist's block'.

I was all set to do some painting or some digital creating

this week-end....guess what....I'm not over it yet!

In the meantime...

I have been having some fun on Squidoo...

I've written a lens on

it still needs some work

and it's a fun page to write...so I will be adding some new

quizzes every so often.
